Make your blog rank top in search engine
How to make your blog came up first in the search engine
ways to optimize your blog
1) Blog address or the URL Structure.
The address of your blog or the URL are another great place to use keywords, avoid using numbers and symbol characters. Try to keep the URL easy to remember , short and crawlable. one of the factor Google search engine use is the URL address match the search term. It would be best if your domain name matched the search result, but even if it doesn’t you can still create a URL address which can increase your result rank. A url which looks like “www.bbb.com/mywidget.html” is not as good as “www.kitchentools.com/can-opener.html”.
2) Page Titles.
Search engines use the page titles in their search results. Most blogs have their page titles as Blog Name >> Post Title but I recommend just having the page title as the Post Title.
3) Meta Description.
The meta-description tag is a hidden HTML tag that allows some search engines to display a descriptive sentence or two about your site in the search result.
Search engines usually see your content as duplicate. Granted it usually is not duplicate content, but without a unique meta description tag on each of your posts you are hampering your search engine traffic.
Example of meta tag code.
Here is how to create a meta tag How to create a meta tag
4) Add some link to your site
One of the best way to get teh visibility within google search is to include a few links in your site that link you to other related site, and those sites might link back or include your blog in their blogroll, the more site you link and the better those sites are, the more Google will trust your site as a good candidate for high search result ranking. Get as many as you can, 300 is a good beginning target to shoot for, but not just any old backlinks. These should be links from established websites which are actually related to yours by subject or field.
5) Don't over linked
Don't put too much link to your site, if you have more than 100 links to other websites on a page, there’s a good chance Google will remove that page from their results. This is because of link farms - websites whose sole purpose is to create links to other web pages to increase their search results. If you’ve got that many links on one page, Google assumes they are either not all relevant to your content, or possibly paid links, neither of which are good for your results.
But don’t let that discourage you from linking to other websites; just don’t put them all on one page. In a good-sized page of content, there shouldn’t be more than a dozen or so links to external websites. Link to other websites related to yours, and webmasters who check their logs to see who is referring visitors to their site may notice your website and link back to you.
6) content of your blog or site.
It doesn't matter how many search engine techniques you use, if your have very poor content , or if your content is a duplicate from other sites, mostly likely your site will be filter and will not show up in the search result. what you can do is to re-write your content to include different keywords that people are usually searching for.
7) Input different keywords and repeat them in your content.
After you have identified some good keywords for your site, used them in your content, and also repeated them in your title and meta description, get ready to re-write again. For instant if you are selling can openners that come in metal and plastic, you might include metal and plastic can opener in your content, but keyword metal and plastic can opener might not be as good as metal can opener and plastic can opener as separete keyword as these are the keyword that most people will seach on the search engine.
But be careful, you don't want to repeat the keywords in your site too much, if Google finds “metal can opener” 10 times on your page and there are only 15 sentencess in your blog, that means you have approx 70% keyword in your page, that can cause your blog drop to botton of the search result.
there is no specification on how many times you can repeat your keyword
but a good rule of thumb is to keep keyword density between 6% and 10% for a couple important keywords on your page, and about 3 to 5% for less important terms.
